My thoughts on the science and technology-based education system

In line with developed countries and technologically advanced nations, secondary and higher secondary-level students in our country should gradually be introduced to high-level scientific theory-based subjects in a simplified language. Periodically, topics such as Einstein’s Theory of Relativity or other information-based subjects could be incorporated into the curriculum. However, complex mathematical equations should be avoided due to their necessity and logical complexity.

Initially, students should be introduced to the concept of space-time in addition to general education, taking into consideration their knowledge, skills, and perspective. Then, the concept of Newtonian gravity and the space curve can be explained simply, including how gravity operates over time. However, it is not necessary to delve deeply into this topic. Furthermore, various safe scientific instruments and technologies should be demonstrated to provide practical ideas.

To develop students’ knowledge, as well as keeping in mind the requirements of real life, information on our solar system, the size and structure of the Milky Way galaxy, and the supermassive black hole at its center, Sagittarius, can be presented. In addition, developed countries should provide separate study opportunities about supercomputer technology and its workings. Apart from this, educational topics on artificial intelligence technology, safe internet browsing, and information sharing should be included.

Moreover, I believe it is very important to give students a basic understanding of the technology and international marketing of the garment industry, which is now a very promising industry. They should learn what a semiconductor chip is, how it is involved in our daily lives, and what its function is. In any case, students at the secondary and higher secondary levels will not only have a different attraction towards science and technology, but they will also gradually develop an interest in science and be able to involve themselves in the future fourth industrial revolution based on technological development and high-tech in our country.

I sincerely wish that the students and youth of our country grow up with science- and technology-based ideas or acquire the ability to apply them in practice. Let them devote themselves to taking the country to the advanced world in technological development. Before that, we must develop our country’s national education system and curriculum in line with the rest of the world and implement them in a phased manner. However, it should be kept in mind that education or memorization should not be limited to paper and should be brought to life.

Although the honorable government of our country has already formulated the National Education Policy to suit the new generation in tune with the developed world, the work to implement it in a phased manner has already started. Hopefully, Bangladesh will receive better feedback from the new education system and curriculum in the future. Therefore, everyone should come forward with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit to strengthen the new education system and curriculum, rather than engaging in unnecessary debates on the education system.##
