In recent times, numerous developed nations across the globe have commenced the installation of advanced CCTV cameras equipped with facial recognition softwares. These cameras serve the purpose of deterring criminal activities and catering to the needs of both VIPs and ordinary individuals residing in bustling urban areas. Notably, several prominent tech companies in China are presently engaged in the production of cutting-edge CCTV cameras that utilize the highly-discussed artificial intelligence (AI) technology software of 2023.

Essentially, the primary function of these CCTV cameras, empowered by artificial intelligence, is to capture an extensive amount of video footage and provide precise information about specific individuals to the relevant authorities. This is achieved by comparing the image of the individual in question with the images stored in the database using facial recognition software. Remarkably, this entire process is executed swiftly, ensuring efficiency. The success rate of this technology stands at approximately 80%.
China is currently implementing high-tech CCTV cameras equipped with facial recognition software in various cities.

However, in reality, this system appears to be overly complex and potentially risky for ordinary citizens. The Chinese government has installed these cameras at significant locations and roads throughout the country. In the event of a crime or the need to monitor the movements of a suspect, these cameras swiftly identify the individual and automatically transmit the necessary information to a central hub known as the ‘brain’ in each city. Subsequently, utilizing face recognition software, the individual’s photograph and data are promptly handed over to the authorities. Based on this information, the authorities are able to identify the specific person and take appropriate actions accordingly.

However, despite the Chinese government’s repeated claims of tackling and reducing crime rates in the nation, they may have implemented innovative CCTV camera technology to directly infringe upon individual liberties and enhance overall surveillance of dissidents. Furthermore, an undisclosed number of CCTV cameras and central control units equipped with this technology have been provided to the Myanmar military junta government to identify, suppress, manage, and monitor rebels in the war-torn country in recent times.

In recent years, the utilization of such cutting-edge technology for law enforcement purposes has surged in developed nations worldwide, primarily due to the introduction of increasingly contentious facial recognition software. While the deployment of these advanced devices has sparked controversy globally, the Chinese government under Xi Jinping has either completed or is currently undertaking the installation of CCTV cameras based on ‘face recognition software’ across the entire country, solely for its own interests. Although the use of this technology remains confined to China, numerous countries, including Russia, the United States, and India, are discreetly employing it for their respective requirements, while many other nations may also be considering its implementation.#
